Additional Character Limit for Credit Proposal 'Requirements & Objectives' and 'Reason for selecting this product'

Why is there a limit? It seems like an odd thing to have. Nearly all of our Needs & Objectives wording goes over this limit so we have no option but to generate the Credit Proposal, transfer to PDF, add the text and send via DocuSign.
Is there some system issue that needs a 4000 character limit? Why can this not be 50,000 or just limitless.
Even at 8,000 or something would be better but I cant understand making such a short limit.
This applies to the product section as well.

Thanks for your feedback on this. We’re not able to increase the character limit because it’s restricted by Flex. In February 2024, we were able to raise the limit from 2,000 to 4,000 characters, but that’s the maximum Flex allows for a single field.
Since we need to send this field through to generate the credit proposal and complete the lodgement, we’re limited to what Flex supports, so 4,000 characters is the maximum we can offer.
